Delivery on Talentack runs on a short, visible sequence: a recruiter reads a profile, sends a direct brief with the task, timeline and work setup, and the person on the other side answers with what they can take on. This page sets out what happens at each stage, what we expect from both sides, and where things usually slow down.
Every stage below has a fixed handover point. If a step stalls, it is usually because the brief was thin on tools, availability or references, not because the profile was wrong.
Day 1
Profile intake
You fill in role focus, the tools you actually open on a working day, and the tasks you want more of. We check the summary reads in plain language before it goes live. Profiles with a vague tool list get sent back once, then published as-is.
Day 2 to 4
Portfolio strip and references
Add three to five project entries with the outcome each one reached. References go in here too, and we ask you to brief them first so a call does not catch anyone cold. A referee who cannot speak to a specific project is worth less than no referee at all.
Week 1
Shortlist and direct brief
A hiring manager filters by skill cluster, seniority band and work setup, then sends a brief straight to your profile. No inbox forwarding. Briefs that arrive without a scope, a start window or a named contact get flagged and returned to the sender.
Week 2
Availability check
Both sides confirm the window. This is where time-zone overlap with European or US clients, hybrid weeks and backup power arrangements get stated plainly. If the dates do not line up, the brief is parked rather than pushed through.
Ongoing
Keep the profile current
Profiles go stale quietly. Refresh availability every few weeks, retire finished projects, and swap out a referee who has moved on. A profile last touched six months ago reads that way to anyone scanning it.
Delivery on Talentack is short by design. You publish a profile, a hiring manager reads it, and a brief lands in your inbox with the role, the tools and the window they need. No recruiter relay, no re-explaining your stack on every call.
The points below are the ones people mention most often after a few months of keeping a profile current.
Curious how the stages fit together? See the delivery sequence, or browse what a profile includes.
Every brief names the role focus, the tools in play and the seniority band, so you can decide in a minute whether it fits before replying.
Your window is visible up front, including time-zone overlap and hybrid weeks. Recruiters stop asking whether you are free next Tuesday.
A short strip of real work sits next to your summary, so the reader sees output before they read a rewritten CV paragraph.
Two or three briefed referees, kept current, mean a serious brief can move forward without a two-week gap while contacts are chased.
Update your tools, tasks and window once. Teams in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria read the same profile, so you are not maintaining five versions of yourself across inboxes.
Delivery on Talentack does not end when a profile goes live. If a recruiter sends a brief and something in the process stalls, there are three ways to reach us, and each one lands with a person who can see the profile and the brief in question.
Best for profile edits, brief clarifications and anything with a document attached. Include the profile link or brief reference so we can pull it up before replying.

Most questions about how delivery works, what a brief includes and where a profile sits in the queue are already covered in the FAQ. If your situation is not there, contact us and describe the step you are stuck on.
